2019 China's highest solar cell conversion efficiency release

On November 5, 2019, the photovoltaic Professional Committee of China Renewable Energy Society (CPVs) released the CPVs best research cell efficiencies in 2019 at the 29th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (pvsec-29) and 18th China photovoltaic Academic Conference (cpvs-18).            China's highest efficiency of solar cells in 2019            *The efficiency record of red font also set the world efficiency record of this kind of battery.            The release of China's highest conversion efficiency of solar cells aims to comprehensively, systematically, authoritatively and timely show the highest level of photovoltaic conversion efficiency achieved by China's solar cells, and further promote the innovation and development of China's photovoltaic technology. Five types of solar cells, including crystal Si battery, GaAs battery, CIGS battery, perovskite battery and organic battery, have been released, with the highest efficiency in China of 12 solar cells with different structures. Among them, China's efficiency of five types of solar cells is also the world record of conversion efficiency.            The highest efficiency of crystalline silicon solar cells in China has made a breakthrough. Artes has created the highest efficiency of polysilicon perc battery in China of 22.8%, and also set the world record of polysilicon battery efficiency. Longji has created 24.03% of the highest efficiency of monocrystalline silicon perc battery in China. After perc battery, China's hit battery and TOPCON battery technology have developed rapidly. Hanergy has created 24.85% of China's highest efficiency of hit battery, and Trina Solar has created 24.58% of China's highest efficiency of n-type monocrystalline silicon TOPCON battery. The highest efficiency of the four crystalline silicon solar cells is obtained by using large silicon area (about 244.6cm2), which shows that China has reached the international leading level in the research and development and industrialization of large-area crystalline silicon solar cells. These achievements will be rapidly transferred to the photovoltaic industry, promote the industrialization of laboratory achievements, make China maintain the international advanced level in the industrialization technology of crystalline silicon battery, and support the sustainable development of China's photovoltaic industry.            The efficiency of thin film solar cell keeps leading position. Hanergy has created the highest efficiency of 29.1% single junction GaAs battery in China, which is also the efficiency record of single junction GaAs battery in the world. At the same time, hanergy has also created 22.92% of the highest efficiency of the copper indium gallium selenium battery on the glass substrate, and 20.56% of the highest efficiency of the copper indium gallium selenium battery on the flexible substrate in China.            The technology of perovskite solar cell is developing rapidly. Hangzhou Xianna has repeatedly set the world record for the efficiency of small perovskite battery modules, creating a Chinese record of 17.25% for the efficiency of seven battery series micro modules, and a Chinese record of 14.30% for the efficiency of 28 battery series modules. The Institute of semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has set the highest efficiency record of 23.7% for single junction perovskite batteries, and Nanjing University has set the highest efficiency record of 22.2% for perovskite laminated batteries.            The research of organic solar cell keeps leading in the world. South China University of technology has set a record of 16.48% efficiency of organic solar cells in China, which is also the highest efficiency in the world.            Compared with the highest efficiency of solar cells in China in 2018, there are 8 types of batteries in 2019 that have set a new efficiency record in 2018! It shows that the research and innovation ability of photovoltaic field in China is constantly enhanced, which promotes the rapid improvement of solar cell efficiency and strongly supports the photovoltaic industry in China to become bigger and stronger. The efficiency of polycrystalline silicon perc battery increased from 22% to 22.8%, monocrystalline silicon perc battery from 23.1% to 24.03%, hit battery from 23.7% to 24.85%, TOPCON battery from 23.1% to 24.58%, single junction GaAs battery from 28.8% to 29.1%, CIGS battery on glass substrate from 21.2% to 22.92%, perovskite single junction battery from 23.32% to 23.7%, calcium The efficiency of titanium micro assembly increased from 16% to 17.25%. I believe that in the future, China will not only have more solar cells to break China's efficiency record, but also create more world efficiency records.            The highest efficiency of solar cells in China has been released for three times. It was first released at the 17th China photovoltaic Academic Conference (cpvc-17) held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia in August 2017, and published in the 2018 China photovoltaic technology development report. China's highest efficiency of solar cells in 2018 was released at the China Renewable Energy academic conference held in Beijing in September 2018, and published in the 2019 China photovoltaic technology development report.
